Vasilica Vasilescu, PhD

Dr. Vasilica Vasilescu is a Clinical Psychologist at Corcoran State Prison. She has a degree in School Psychology from Bucharest, Romania and a MA in Behavioral Sciences from the University of Houston. She received her MA and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with Emphasis in Cross Cultural Proficiency from the California School of Professional Psychology. Her dissertation was focused on Acculturative Stress, Family Relationships and Mental Health among Romanian Immigrants. Her post doctoral clinical training included developmental disabilities, forensics, adolescents and geriatric psychology. She has received a Superior Accomplishment Award from the California Department of Developmental Services. Her primary research interests are in the fields of Cross Cultural Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry, and Psychopathic Personality. She is also an eclectic psychotherapist using hypnosis.
