Dr. Veena Doddakashi is Board Certified in Adult and Child/ Adolescent Psychiatry and serves as the Vice Chairman and Medical Director of Child/Adolescent Psychiatric Services for Good Samaritan Hospital. Dr. Doddakashi, received her medical degree at Mysore University, JJM Medical College. She completed Psychiatry residency training in Texas at Austin State Hospital and a Child and Adolescent Fellowship at Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Doddakashi has previously served as Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at UCLA-Kern Psychiatry Residency Program, Department of Psychiatry and BioBehavioral Sciences, David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. She was also the acting Training Director of the Child and Adolescent Fellowship and Chief-in-Charge of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic, and was the Head of the DD (Developmentally Delayed) Clinic at Kern County Children’s Outpatient Clinic. She will be serving as the CCPS-Kern Chapter President from 2013 to 2015. She is the very first woman to be elected President to serve the CCPS-Kern Chapter.
