The
electroneuodiagnostics laboratory offers diagnostic studies to help aid in the
determination of many neurological disorders. At Kaweah Delta we offer:
-
inpatient and outpatient EEGs
- ambulatory EEG/long term monitoring
- intraoperative monitoring during spine, cardiac and
neuro surgeries

The
EEG, also known as an electroencephalogram, helps to diagnose neurological
conditions by detecting the small electrical impulses given off by the brain.
This simple and painless test can be completed in our lab or at home with a
home monitor. This can help determine if someone is having seizures or other
various conditions that may have resulted from a head injury, stroke or other
traumas.
The
EP or otherwise known as an evoked potential helps to determine the
synchronicity of the nerves throughout the body. It can aid in determining
auditory, visual or sensory disturbances. Conditions known as vertigo, carpal
tunnel syndrome and multiple sclerosis as well as many others can be diagnosed
with this testing.
Intraoperative
monitoring is used in the operating room to assist the surgeon in making sure
the neurological functions stay intact. Electrodes are placed on the body to
ensure sensory and motor function is maintained throughout the body.
Our chief
technologist is board certified and registered in EEG with more than 11 years
experience and is one of the few within the San Joaquin/Sacramento Valley with
this credential. Our technicians are highly trained and use the newest digital
innovations in the field of neurodiagnostics.
